The Terre Haute Chamber would like to recognize one of our great Ambassadors for the month of February.
Ambassador: Jenifer Wright
Business: REX Baseball
Tell us about your business and what you do.
REX Baseball is one of 10 teams in the Prospect League. The Prospect League is the premier collegiate wood bat summer league in the Midwest. It has been operating in its current form since 2009 after merging with the Central Illinois Collegiate League which served the summer baseball needs of top collegiate players since 1963. The prospect League plays in two divisions, East and West. The schedule is based on limited divisional cross-over to minimize longer trip expenses while maintaining the Minor League feel of schedule and travel. Teams play 60 games person season in just 70 days. The All-Star Showcase is held in July, rotating location to different teams each year. Post season schedule is best two out of three divisional playoff followed by the League Championship Series.
Jenifer Wright is REX Baseball’s Director of Human Resources. In her role, she manages over 40 employees each season and oversees all REX operations in the office setting and at Bob Warn Field.
